Circa 1870 country store counter top apothecary. This piece has 12 good size drawers with their original cast iron pulls and a side cupboard with one shelf. Original surface. Back boards behind drawers have been added (did not originally have any). The feet have been added. Measures 5 feet wide, 36 inches high and 15 inches deep. Put your TV on it, finish the back for a kitchen island/workspace, etc.

Circa 1870-90 hanging cupboard in wonderful dry green painted surface. Inside shelves have been repainted otherwise untouched. Found in a barn in Saratoga County, New York. Measures 37 inches high, 25 inches wide and 12 inches deep.

Circa 1820 stepback cupboard out of Connecticut, but most likely made in Pennsylvania. Neat form with an elevated and well shaped base, raised panel doors and a high lollipop profile at the counter ends. The case and drawers are hand dovetailed and the doors are mortised and pinned construction. Refinished in the 1950's it has a nice warm color. The counter has a double plate rail for displaying your antiques. Measures 43 inches wide, 80 inches tall and 17 inches deep.

Circa 1820-40 cherry corner cupboard out of a private collection where it has been for the past 40 years. The owner's believe that the cupboard is from Connecticut. Wonderful cornice and twig work framing out the doors make this a special cupboard. Interior is clean with plate rails. Single drawer separating the top and bottom sections. Two pieces. Some minor repairs. Requires a 38 inch corner. Stands 80 inches tall and is 53 inches wide.

19th century country plate rack in original off white painted surface. Originally made to sit on a table or counter the previous owner added braces on the back side so it can be hung on a wall. Measures 37 1/2 inches wide, 26 inches high and 9 inches deep. The bottom opening is 10 3/4 inches and the top opening is 8 1/4 inches.

Early to mid 1800's store 22 drawer apothecary. Wonderful old surface of mustard over red paint. Case and drawers are hand dovetailed. Backboards are square nailed. Minor restoration includes replacement of a couple of drawer dividers, replacement of the sides only on one of the drawers in the top row and 19th century replacement pulls. Measures 5 feet wide, 9 3/4 inches deep and 17 3/4 inches high. Would be great hanging on a wall or on top of a table, counter.

Circa 1625 English coffer from the Claryville, NY estate of New York City financier Ted Forstmann, by way of a local home where it has been for the past 40 years. Wonderfully carved with the initials of the original owner on the chest. Restoration includes replaced butterfly hinges, an 18th century blacksmith repair of the back left corner and bottom boards that were replaced, probably shortly after arrival here in America (attached with rosehead nails). Paneled all around including the top. Measures 53 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 29 inches high.

Early 19th century dovetailed seaman's chest in old (not original) well worn green paint. Original hinges, becketts and ropes. Interior has two tills one with a drawer below. Both front and back have modest cant.

Beautiful 18th century mahogany drop front desk with ball and claw feet. Bold upward flowing and beautifully matched mahogany veneer on the drawer fronts and desk drop. Dovetailed case and drawers. Great size-just 35 3/4 inches wide (38 inches with the base molding) and 44 3/4 inches high. The shape of the feet, I believe, suggest a New York origin. The interior is stepped back. One interior drawer, the lower middle, has been replaced with an early 19th century ogee shaped drawer. A classic piece of early American furniture.

Circa 1840-60 one drawer and one door cupboard in original untouched surface. This cupboard came out of a home in Hebron, NY just north of my shop. Drawer and the gallery are dovetailed. The door is panel and stile. Nice cutout on the front base. Hand cut nails used in the case and back. The cupboard measures 54 inches high (top of gallery), 41 inches wide and 17 inches deep. Clean interior.

Late 18th-early 19th century bracket base Pennsylvania 2 drawer blanket chest found in Maine. Old natural finish. Hand dovetailed case, drawers and bracket base. Breadboard end top that is wooden pinned. Nice hand forged strap hinges and early brasses. Some old repairs on the inside of the left side of the case (see photo), but the outside is not affected. Chest measures 47 inches wide, 22 1/4 inches deep and 29 inches high.

Circa 1870 paneled single door cupboard with nice cornice, original door latch and original grain painted surface with good patina. This piece was started life as a clothes wardrobe. There is one fixed shelf on top and, of course, the bottom shelf. The three middle shelves were earlier additions when the cupboard was used as a kitchen pantry. It came out of Pennsylvania. The measurements are 7 feet 1 inch tall, 37 inches wide (43 at the cornice) and 14 inches deep (shelves are 12 inches).

Circa 1820 Pennsylvania (Lancaster County) 2 piece stepback
cupboard. The story goes that the previous owners, who
purchased the cupboard in the mid 1900's, refinished
it except for the top doors which they kept open or
removed. Features include hand planed and paneled mortise
and tenon doors, a pie shelf with half-moon side cut-outs,
fluted stiles with quartered corners, plate rails and
spoon holders in the upper section, hand dovetailed
drawers, hand planed backboards, and original crown
molding and Chippendale base.

Mid
- 19th century blanket chest with high, Queen Anne applied
bracket base. Hand planed maple varying in thickness
from 5/8-3/4 inch. Simple red/black grain paint. This
chest migrated to New Milford, PA according to the back
and evidence of shipping screws on the lid. Neat early
box.

door in old dry light green paint over gray. Top 9 inches
of each side and back were removed (and put back) to
fit around ceiling beam by previous owner. Nice size:
